Hello Springfield!

Our aim is to improve the Springfield Estate Area and make it a better place to live for everyone! We want to bring the community together by providing activities, events and services that will benefit our local community, and help local residents with any issues they may be facing.

We organise a regular family friendly litter pick every month called the Little Pickers. Each child that attends will be provided with a high vis vest and a certificate to keep, and participants can earn Children’s University credits.

We have recently become a validated Children’s University Learning Destination, so we can award Children’s University credits for our activities (children that would like to earn credits will require a Children’s University Passport to Learning which can be purchased from a local library for £3.50).

We will be hosting a Halloween Trail on Sunday 30th October 2022. The trail will start at 10am from Gell Street Playground, and the clues will be hidden around the Springfield Estate area.

Are you concerned about…

  • Housing matters – for example repairs, bins, bicycle/pushchair storage etc.
  • Antisocial behaviour
  • Syringes, glass and other litter
  • Car parking issues
  • Or anything else?

Let’s discuss your views on life in the Sheffield Springfield Estate area. We want to know all the issues affecting tenants and residents. We want to bring our community together to improve the lives of everyone living here, and support activities and events that are of interest to the local community.

Initially we will cover the following roads: Broomspring Close, Headford Mews, Headford Gardens, Headford Grove, Broomgreen, Broom Walk, Cavendish Court, Egerton Walk and Egerton Close. However we are considering extending this area, especially if there is interest from nearby residents.

Things get solved when you get involved!

We are looking for tenants and residents in the Sheffield Springfield Estate area to help establish a new Tenants And Residents Association (TARA).

Please contact us with your suggestions, concerns and offers to get involved. We need enough volunteers to establish a committee, so please get in touch if you can help!

We will hold a meeting for residents in the near future, details coming soon.
